AAJR announces a grant for graduate student summer research funding. We will provide several stipends of no more than $4,000 to graduate students in any field of Jewish Studies. The funds are not intended for language study or purchase of equipment.
Eligibility: Graduate students in any field of Jewish studies at a North American university who have submitted their prospectus and can demonstrate a need to travel to collections may apply for funding.
Required for Application:
1. A curriculum vitae, a proposal, of no more than five pages that includes intended research travel (i.e. collections to be consulted, sites to be visited) and an itemized budget with indication of other sources of summer support applied for or available. Applicants should notify us if they receive other summer grants.
2. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s principal advisor. The advisor should indicate whether the applicant’s university provides support for summer research and on what terms.
